rohe technik OÜ ("we", "us", "our") operates the dime mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use dime, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and other applicable data protection laws.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Voice Data: When you use dime's voice-to-text feature, your voice is processed to generate text. Voice audio is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers after transcription is complete.

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics such as app opens, feature usage frequency, and session duration. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Account Information: If you create an account or subscribe to dime Pro, we collect your email address. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple's in-app purchase system — we never receive, see, or store your payment details.

Device Information: We may collect basic device information (device type, operating system version, app version) for compatibility and debugging purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under GDPR, we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

Performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing voice-to-text transcription, delivering app functionality, and managing your account and subscription.

Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): Collecting anonymous usage analytics to improve app performance and reliability. Our legitimate interest is to maintain and improve the quality of our service. This processing uses only aggregated, non-identifiable data.

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Where required, we will ask for your explicit consent before processing (e.g., marketing communications). You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data solely to provide and improve the dime service: processing voice-to-text transcription, delivering app functionality, managing subscriptions, sending essential service-related communications, and improving app performance and reliability.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your transcribed text, notes, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We use industry-standard technical and organizational security measures (including encryption in transit and at rest) to protect any data transmitted to our servers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Third-Party Processors

dime may use third-party services (sub-processors) for speech recognition and AI text processing. These processors act on our behalf under data processing agreements that ensure GDPR-compliant handling of your data. We only work with partners who maintain appropriate technical and organizational safeguards. A list of current sub-processors is available upon request at support@rohe.ai.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

As a data subject, you have the following rights under GDPR:

Right of access (Art. 15): You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to rectification (Art. 16): You can request correction of inaccurate personal data.

Right to erasure (Art. 17): You can request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

Right to restriction (Art. 18): You can request that we limit the processing of your data.

Right to data portability (Art. 20): You can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

Right to object (Art. 21): You can object to processing based on legitimate interest.

Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)): Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

You can delete all locally stored data through the app's settings at any time. To exercise any of the above rights regarding server-side data, contact us at support@rohe.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For Estonia, this is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon): www.aki.ee.

9. Children's Privacy

dime is not directed at children under 16 (the age of digital consent under Estonian law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

10. Data Retention

Voice audio is not retained after transcription — it is discarded immediately. Anonymous, aggregated usage analytics are retained for up to 24 months. Account information (email address) is retained until you delete your account or request erasure. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

11. International Data Transfers

rohe technik OÜ is based in the European Union (Estonia). Your data is processed and stored within the EU/EEA. If any sub-processor requires transfer of data outside the EU/EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

12. Automated Decision-Making

dime uses AI to refine and improve transcribed text. This processing is a core part of the service you requested and does not produce legal effects or similarly significant effects on you. You always have the option to review and edit any AI-generated output before using it.

13. Cookies and Website Tracking

The dime website (dimekeyboard.com) does not use cookies or third-party tracking scripts. No personal data is collected through the website.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of dime after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
